Life beyond death Spring is here and with it, the celebration of the glorious resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As it was with Christ, so it is with us: before we can put on the glorious bodies of heaven, enjoying forever the presence of our risen Lord. Our everyday work, here at HPM, brings us in direct contact with the cycle life-death-life. Our mortal condition and the importance of living with the spiritual reality in mind is of utmost importance for us. This constant exposure to pain and death has a twofold outcome for us, the team of HPM. First, it challenges our own values, placing our lives in an eternal perspective. It forces us to slow down a little and think where we are going and why. It is not easy to see our patients – whom we get to know and gradually become attach to – deteriorate physically and eventually die. This is why we appreciate your special support and thank you heartily for your prayers for our medical team, for renewed strength and also wisdom in trying to bring the Lord to our patients.
We know one thing for sure: that He is constantly with us in blessing our efforts as we try to show our patients that life- as we know it- does not end in death.
Easter is a great opportunity to thank God for each and everyone of you for you play a crucial part in keeping our work running through your constant support and prayers.
He is risen!
Hospice Perspective Medicale depends solely upon the donations of individuals, churches, civic groups and foundations to provide our services at no cost to our patients and families. Recently, the Romanian Government issued a new law in the Fiscal Code, no.571/2003, Chapter X, art.90, by which all employees that fill out a global income declaration have the right to donate 1% from their income tax to a registered NGO. This is new law that gives the average citizen the right to choose where 1% of his income tax will go. Why take advantage of this opportunity?
What do I have to do?
Dear Friends, Another year has passed by when looking back at the year, which we are leaving behind, we have so many things to thank God for! He has blessed us with so many things like good health, wonderful friends, and amazing gifts.
Briefly, I would like to remind you the biggest events in our organisation that occurred in the past year:
June 2004, our web site is finished after tremendous work done by Sanda.
Looking back at 2004 we all believe that it has been the best year yet for our foundation. We have served more patients than ever ( some 140 patients and over 2500 home visits only in one year! ), we have developed and extended our services and our team, we have received the most generous donations and we have been blessed in every way and in everything we did. To all of you, for the part you have joyfully and lovingly taken in the spreading of God’s love through our team’s care for the suffering and the dying, a big THANK YOU from all our heart!
We look at the coming year with lots of hope and faith. We see it as a crossroad for our foundation. There will be lots of challenges to face: as the team grew and we were able to attend more patients, we see ourselves faced with greater expenses that we hope we can meet. Also, our two MAJOR projects – the Tourist Project and the construction of a Day Care Centre and Clinic for our patients are expected to start.
Along with our best wishes for the New Year for you all we want to express our very special, heart-felt thanks to each and everyone of you fro your constant and loving support, for your prayers, messages of encouragement and all you have given us, particularly during this last year. We have felt you so close to us, and that gave us more strength to go on with joy and confidence that God will finish His work in us and through us in the people we serve.
To you all: THANK YOU! We pray that our Lord may reward your love with all He knows you need for the New Year! |
